Today’s question comes from Joseph, who asks, “This is somewhat a real estate question as well as a technology question that might be up your alley. Electricity is currently delivered to a house or business, monopolized by a single company in whatever territory it’s located. I’m sure there are government regulations, but they seem to do whatever they want. Every time I upgrade solar power on my house, I lose incentives, making it less profitable for me to recoup the costs of installation. Allowing someone to choose who delivers their electricity would make pricing more competitive, although I don’t know if that would even be possible with the analog delivery method. I appreciate your wisdom and insight.”
